CONTEST s.cons.arl – Tuscany Special TEchnologies CONsortium (formal legal body) is the first ICT consortium in Grosseto area and was set up in2006 by the following Tuscan firms operating in the industrial and ICT sector:
Alta spa, AR&S, Data Pos, Faenzi s.r.l., FT Future Technologies, IGS Italia,
Optronitalia, Opus automazione s.r.l., Roggi s.r.l., Sider Sistem s.r.l., Tosti s.r.l.

Contest’s aim is to promote special technologies and develop the following activities:
environment care, public administration and public services innovation, research projects in Italy and abroad, more specific technological knowledge acquisition, researches retrieval and vocational training for researches, creation of a common distribution system, promotion and selling of consortium products, marketing advertising and promotional goods common production, quality trade-marks creation, collaboration with public bodies and research institutions.

In its first 4 years of activity, Contest has mainly carried on institutional activities, aiming at promoting its mission, qualifying and diversifying technological and productive offer.

The implementation of a series of research and development projects, the emphasis on collaboration between the companies, in Italy or abroad, involving public research centers and private sectors, encouraging the recruitment and training of researchers in the field of interest of companies, are key point of a joint action aimed at achieving rapid growth of this sector.
